Space travel: what is H4CBD? Production, possible positive and side effects, H4CBD vs. CBD and product offerings

What is H4CBD?

It is 1940, and Todd's research group, which has been instrumental in the identification and synthesis of dozens of space cannabinoids, discovers the cannabinoid H4CBD

H4CBD (hexahydrocannabidiol) is not a natural body like CBD (cannabidiol), it is created in the lab. Since it is a derivative of CBD, its similarity to the CBD galaxy is not coincidental, it is a hydrogenated version of cannabidiol. How is H4CBD produced? Buckle up, we're moving into the lab.

H4CBD production

Scientists take CBD extracted from hemp and add 4 hydrogen atoms to it. That's why it also has H4 in the name. This process is called hydrogenation. his produces hexahydroderivative CBD

n the universe, a wide range of hydrogenated forms of CBD can be found, which have their own galactic effects. Among the known stars of the hydrogenated variants is HHC, which is also currently produced from CBD.

Galactic Archive: what do the studies say about the effects of H4CBD?

A 2006 study entitled New cannabidiol derivatives: synthesis, binding to the cannabinoid receptor and evaluation of their anti-inflammatory activity. This study is the brainchild of a research team led by Shimon Ben-Shabatam and states that H4CBD, like other cannabinoids, has some anti-inflammatory potential. However, the more interesting finding that this team came up with is that H4CBD seems to interact significantly with the body's CB1 receptors.

In 2017, a Research review, appeared that supported Ben-Shabat's study but did not provide any new revelations regarding the bioactive properties of H4CBD.

Towards the end of 2023 research in rats suffering from advanced metabolic dysfunction enriched the galactic archive. This syndrome includes factors such as obesity, insulin resistance and elevated glucose levels. Research suggests that a high dose of H4CBD improved glucose tolerance and reduced body weight in rats with advanced metabolic syndrome. These effects were observed independently of changes in insulin signaling and are likely due to a profound loss of visceral adiposity (fat stored in the abdominal cavity).

Possible effects of H4CBD

In any case, anecdotal evidence is beginning to appear in the galaxy, so far only as tiny constellations that confirm the effects of H4CBD. However, to reach definitive conclusions about the effects of H4CBD, we must wait for other research missions to complete the galactic archive. A positive glimpse has been provided by recent research suggesting that H4CBD could be a promising agent in advanced metabolic dysfunctions.

At the moment, the International Space Station has not issued any statement on the effects of H4CBD on the human body, but astronauts can expect the effects of H4CBD to be similar to CBD, but with a greater intensity. H4CBD may also:

  • promote sleep
  • induce a sense of calm
  • relieve symptoms of pain

Some astronauts have suggested that H4CBD has psychoactive properties. However, this information is not yet confirmed.

Regarding the possible side effects of H4CBD, there are no specific studies examining its effects on the body. The information so far is mainly derived from observations and experience with other cannabinoids that show psychoactive effects.

Side effects may occur in the form of:

  • dizziness
  • sluggishness
  • headaches
  • nausea
  • vomiting
  • diarrhoea

Heavenly menu H4CBD products

Although H4CBD is a fairly newly discovered cosmic body, there is already a wide range of products to choose from.

H4CBD Flowers

H4CBD flowers are the flowers (buds) of technical hemp loaded with high CBD content. They are infused with H4CBD distillate and contain the legal limit of THC as mandated by the legal code of planet earth.

In Cannastra's cosmic range of flowers you will find several proven varieties in different concentrations of H4CBD:

  • White Widow s 30% H4CBD
  • Blueberry s 40% H4CBD
  • Alien OG s 50% H4CBD
  • Durban Poison s 60% H4CBD

H4CBD vape pens and cartridges

H4CBD vape pens are small portable devices  that are the ticket to vaping the cannabinoid H4CBD. Vape pens contain a cartridge filled with liquid H4CBD distillate.

Vaporizer pens are heavenly popular not only among newbies but also experienced vapers, as they require no setup and are ready to use immediately. When vaporizing, the effect is achieved in a matter of minutes.

H4CBD distillate

H4CBD distillate is a highly concentrated form of hemp extract that is produced from industrial hemp. Pure forms of distillates are intended for advanced stages of cosmetic processing, filling vape cartridges and for the method known as dabbing.

Highly cannabinoid forms of extracts are exclusively for astronauts who already have experience with spaceflight. The distillate can be obtained in 99% concentration of H4CBD.

In the composition of H4CBD distillates there are 2 different molecules 9R H4CBD and 9S H4CBD. The 9R H4CBD molecule establishes an intense association with CB1 receptors, while the 9S molecule is considered an inactive component. If 9R H4CBD dominates the distillate, the product will be more potent

H4CBD hash

Hashish is a cannabis concentrate, that contains the cannabinoid H4CBD. It is produced from the resin (trichomes) found on the female flowers of the cannabis plant.

Trichomes (tiny surface hairs) are the answer to why quality sticks to the touch. The more resin they contain, the more cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and other useful ingredients they contain. The hairs are sifted through a fine sieve to separate them from the plant matter, producing a powder called kief, which is rich in cannabinoids and terpenes. Kief is the basis for hashish production.

As hash contains other plant substances and terpenes in addition to cannabinoids, it has a characteristic smell and taste. Hash can be found in shades of black to shades of brown, and the substance can be soft, oily or crumbly. The concentration of H4CBD may be 30-60 %.

H4CBD Gummies

Gummies H4CBD are sweet chewy candies. Each candy is infused with H4CBD spirit. Not only do the gummies offer a more convenient and tasty way to take the cannabinoid than oils and capsules, but they also offer precise dosing because you know how many mg of H4CBD are in each piece.

Summary of findings from the expedition

The cannabinoid H4CBD is a hexahydroderivative of CBD, thus offering astronauts similar effects to CBD, but probably with a more pronounced potency. Jedná se o syntetický kanabinoid, jenž může vykazovat psychoaktivní vlastnosti. It is a synthetic cannabinoid that may have psychoactive properties. Recent research in rats from 2023 suggests that H4CBD could be a promising agent for advanced metabolic dysfunctions. However, there is currently little information in the galactic archive, so definitive conclusions about the effects of H4CBD cannot be drawn.

The range of H4CBD products is smaller than CBD, with H4CBD distillate, flowers, H4CBD vape pens and cartridges, gummies and H4CBD hash available.

The Universe is a fascinating place that holds many surprises and unexplored places. Rest assured that our Cannastra team will take you on a tour of every new object that appears in the galaxy to keep you up to date with what's happening.
