What is HHC?

HHC stands for hexahydrocannabinol. It is a minor cannabinoid, i.e. it is found in trace amounts in the cannabis plant. HHC was first discovered by Roger Adams in 1944.

It is currently produced semi-synthetically ⚗️. Astrochemists obtain HHC by hydrogenating other cannabinoids such as THC or CBD.

If HHC is made in the lab, it is a mixture of 2 different stereoisomers, (9R)-HHC and (9S)-HHC, and the ratio of these molecules will influence the effects. Usually the ratio is 1:1, if the (9R) isomer predominates the product will be more effective.

Effects of HHC

HHC, unlike THC, has a lower affinity for the CB1 receptor in the endocannabinoid system, which means that its psychoactive effects are milder.

📣 In particular, HHC is reported by earthlings to induce a state of weightlessness, stimulation, euphoria, relief of pain symptoms, relaxation, better sleep and relief from stress and anxiety.

Of course, the effects also always depend on the method of use, the dose, the sensitivity of the particular explorer and his metabolism.
